Griffiths Breaks League Record and Lido Hearts

Rhys Griffiths wrote a new chapter in the Corbett Sports WPL history books as he scored 7 times against Afan Lido at the Martson's Stadium.
Marc Lloyd Williams - who previously held the record of scoring 6 times in one match Tweeted his congratulations who netted two from the penalty spot and five goals from open play. Griffiths has now scored 250 goals in our National League
Martin Rose scored the other goal for the Steelmen while Scott McCoubrey claimed both Lido goals.
A key moment of the match came in the 11th minute when Callan Bowden was dismissed by match referee Bryn Markham-Jones which led to Rhys Griffiths' first goal of the vening from the penalty spot.
