Rhyl Footballers Donate Gifts to Children's Ward

RHYL Football Club paid a visit to the Children’s Ward at Glan Clwyd Hospital, writes Matt Jones of the Rhyl Journal.

First team manager Greg Strong led his squad and club directors through the ward to speak with the children, family and nurses carrying gifts donated by the club, committee and supporters for the young patients.

Some of the children tucked into their meals as presents were handed out by the club’s star players.

Managing director Mike Jones said: “Visiting the children’s ward at Glan Clwyd is very important to Rhyl football team, it’s something the players and the whole club hold close to there hearts.

“It’s something we feel very strongly about and if we can put a smile on the children’s faces then obviously it’s all worth while.”
