Ian Sheridan scored the Bala winner
Bala Town climbed out of the relegation zone as they came from behind to beat rivals Prestatyn Town, with Ian Sheridan scoring the Friday evening winner.
A 13th minute own goal from Conall Murtagh, after good approach play from Andy Parkinson and pressure from Mike Parker, gave the visitors the lead at a heavy Maes Tegid service.
After Ross Stephens was denied another for Prestatyn by Ashley Morris in the Bala goal, the hosts responded just before the half-hour mark to restore parity. Kenny Lunt swung in a corner which was met by Murtagh's head, and after 'keeper Dave Roberts could only parry the ball, Mark Connolly was on hand to equalise.
It was all-square at the break, but just after the hour mark, the Lakesiders took the lead for the first time as Sheridan scored what proved to be the decisive goal, with a tap in from a Lewis Codling assist.
Connolly almost claimed his second, but his audacious shot from the half-way line, was only denied by the bar, but it didn't matter in the end as the hosts claimed the three points to leapfrog Port Talbot Town.
