SCOTT YOUNG has added to his squad on the eve of the opening weekend of the new Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League season by re-signing right-back Daniel Sheehan.

Sheehan originally put pen to paper for the club last summer, arriving from neighbours Afan Lido.

But after making 20 league appearances for Port Talbot Town last season, the 22-year-old cut short his spell at the GenQuip Stadium, moving in the January transfer window to Australian outfit Moreland City.

Sheehan began his career with Swansea City before spell at Salisbury City brought him to the Welsh Premier League, where he featured for Carmarthen Town and Afan Lido prior to joining the Steelmen.

Port Talbot kick-off the new season on the road to champions The New Saints on Saturday before hosting Connah's Quay, two days later, at the GenQuip Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday (2.30).
