Championship Conference

Carmarthen Town 0-1 TNS

A solitary Mike Wilde goal gave the Champions another three points in a tight match in West Wales. The Saints started well on a difficult surface at Richmond Park and created early chances through Chris Jones and Kai Edwards, but the Champions were unable to make thr breakthrough. Paul Fowler then had the next chance, but the midfielder was unable to take his chance from close range. There were further chances at both ends in the first half, but neither Steve Cann or Paul Harrison in the respective goals could be beaten.

After the break, the Saints continued to be denied by Cann, but even when he was beaten, Nicky Palmer was on hand on the line to clear Edwards' effort. The deadlock was finally broken with ten minutes remaining and it wasn't surprising who struck it as Mike Wilde, the March Player of the Month, notched his 24th of the season.
