AFTER having defender Steve Tomassen recalled by Wrexham at the start of the month, Airbus UK Broughton were delighted to learn this evening that he is to return.
The 19-year-old arrived at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium in August and was ever-present, making 19 Welsh Premier appearances for the Wingmakers and scoring four goals, including the equaliser against Gap Connah's Quay on Boxing Day.
The Wingmakers were keen to extend Tomassen's stay, but he was required by Wrexham boss Andy Morrell, who has now agreed to loan the player again.
Tomassen progressed through the Centre of Excellence at Wrexham and was taken on as a scholar in the summer of 2010, making his senior debut in the last league game of the 2010/11 season at Luton Town.
We are delighted that Steve is returning as he was so influential during the first half of the season
A regular in the reserves throughout his two-year apprenticeship, he was rewarded with the offer of a professional contract in 2012.
"We are delighted that Steve is returning as he was so influential during the first half of the season," says the club's chief operating officer Stewart Roberts.
"We would like to thank Andy Morrell for his assistance in making the player available."
