Hayes returns to the Nomads on Loan

Airbus UK Broughton striker Mike Hayes has joined gap Connah's Quay on-loan until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old began his Welsh Premier League career with the Nomads in the summer of 2009, having had previous experience with Heswall FC and Wrexham.

Hayes was relegated with the Nomads in his first season, but started the next campaign in the Huws Gray Alliance with a bang and was the leading scorer in the first half of season. That purple-patch led to a switch back into the Welsh Premier League, as Colin Caton brought him to Bala Town in the January 2011 transfer window.

After just half a season with the Lakesiders, he was signed by Airbus in June 2011. He has struggled to command a regular place at the Airfield this season and Mark McGregor will welcome his return to the Deeside Stadium.

"Mike is in the frame for Saturday's all important clash against his former team-mates at Bala Town;" said the Nomads' website.
