Steelmen Scoop for Pole between the Sticks

<1r>Port Talbot Town have ended their goalkeeping crisis at the eleventh hour with the capture of Polish 'keeper Bartek Fogler who was the back-up at Crewe Alexandra last season. The 26-year old who is 6'2 will go straight into the Port Talbot Town team for tomorrow's live S4/C match against Airbus UK (2:45ko) at the GenQuip Stadium. Steelmen manager Mark Jones has been trying to sort out his crisis all week with regular stopper Kristian Rogers out for six weeks. Fogler's availability was brought to his attention and he quickly moved to sign him in time for Saturday's game. He spent eight years at Polonia Warsaw and also played for the Polish Under 19 team, before he moved to Gresty Road with Crewe. Jones was pleased with is acquisition and said this afternoon; "He has trained with us for a couple of weeks, he certainly has the pedigree having spent the whole season at Crewe last year, so I'm delighted to bring him on board." He had been playing his football for Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki in his homeland before trying to win a contract at Bristol City and Wrexham in 2009. He then impressed the Railwaymen on trial and was back-up for Chelsea loanee and Wales under 21 Rhys Taylor last year. The Warsaw-born 'keeper is currently living in Cardiff and went on trial at Neath at the start of the season, before the Eagles captured current stopper Lee Kendall.
