Citizens confirm the return of Jamie Reed

Former City striker Jamie Reed re-signs for The Citizens as new manager Andy Legg begins to shape his squad for the new Dafabet WPL season.

Bangor City is delighted to announce that Jamie Reed has re-signed for his second spell with the Citizens ahead of the new Dafabet WPL campaign.

A firm favourite with the City faithful thanks to his goalscoring exploits in a Bangor shirt, Jamie scored an outstanding 41 goals in 52 appearances for The Citizens during his first spell with the Citizens between 2009 and 2011.

Jamie's goals were instrumental in City's WPL title success in 2010/11 before his transfer to York City in the January 2011 transfer window. Jamie went on to score 20 goals from 74 appearances for the Minstermen as they secured a return to League Two from the Football Conference.

A loan spell with Cambridge United in 2013 precipitated a move to home town club Chester where Jamie made a further 22 appearances at the Deva Stadium.

Jamie returned to the WPL with The New Saints in 2015, before a loan spell with another former club Aberystwyth Town. Last season, Jamie signed for near neighbours Llandudno for the latter half of the Dafabet WPL campaign and helped the club secure UEFA Europa League football in their debut season at the top level of Welsh football.
