Right back lands at Maes Tegid

Bala Town are delighted to announce that right back Lee Owens has agreed terms with the Lakesiders this afternoon.

Lee who hails from Liverpool was released from Bangor City earlier today after a brief spell with the Citizens following a summer move from Airbus.

The talented defender spent four years at The Airfield, he started his career at Wigan Athletic before moving to Rhyl in 2008 switching to Vauxhall Motors and then snapped up by Andy Preece two years later.

Manager Colin Caton told balatownfc.co.uk of his delight of capturing Owens;

“I am very pleased that we have signed Lee and he is in my opinion up there with John Irving and Ryan Valentine as one of the Welsh Premier League’s top right backs. He will strengthen the squad even further, he is versatile and able to play in other postitions.” he added.

Owens will wear the number 29 shirt for the Lakesiders.
