Josh Gordon signs for Rhyl

Rhyl FC have boosted their squad with the signing of forward Josh Gordon from Evo Stick Premier League side Nantwich Town.

Josh joined Nantwich at the start of the season following a successful spell with Newcastle Town, and has scored 5 goals during his time at the club. Josh, 21, has previously had experience with Stoke City, Peterborough United and Alloa, will be a strong addition to the Lilywhites squad as they aim to secure their Dafabet Welsh Premier League status during the second half of the season.

Rhyl Manager Gareth Owen was delighted to bring Josh to the club. Gareth commented that “Josh is quick and direct and a proven goal scorer at his level. He was as keen to come to Rhyl as we were to have him so it was a good move for both parties. He will train with us tonight and Thursday which will give him a good chance to bed in, get to know players and be in contention for the Aberystwyth game.”

Rhyl’s next game in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League is against Aberystwyth Town on Friday 12th February at the Corbett Sports Stadium, Rhyl, kick off 7.30 p.m.
