Cardiff Met 1-0 Llandudno
Cardiff Met Scorer: Chris Baker 60'
Cardiff Met moved up to third this afternoon in the JD Welsh Premier League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Llandudno.
Chris Baker scored the only goal of the game on the hour mark after some good work down the right hand side by Met. The ball was worked to Eliot Evans, who squared a pass across the box for Baker to side-foot home into the goal past Dave Roberts.
In an even first half, neither side had managed to find the net despite having chances. Adam Roscrow went close for Met early on, firing over from just outside the box. Llandudno fired back as some good interplay from James Joyce and Ryan Edwards freed up Shaun Cavanagh but Will Fuller was out quick to intercept.
Jordan Lam found space in the box on 15' but his free header was straight at Dave Roberts. Up the other end, Toby Jones fired wide, before Ryan Edwards fired a low shot across goal which Fuller again was equal to.
The best chance of the first half fell to Met, Will Evans breaking free before teeing up Eliot Evans whose shot from 8 yards out was saved well by Roberts. Llandudno started the second half brightly, Fuller being called into action to deny first Toby Jones and then Danny Hughes. Minutes later though the deadlock was broken by Baker, and from there it took the visitors a few minutes to find their composure. Jones continued to threaten, but the Archers did enough to see out the game and move level on points with The New Saints of Oswestry Town.
