Lee Surman: 2018/2019 Biography & Statistics

Influential defender Lee Surman joined Carmarthen Town in July 2016 from Aberystwyth Town. The Old Gold became the Swansea-born stopper's fourth Welsh Premier League club.

He only spent one season with Aberystwyth Town, having joined in June 2015 after two and a half seasons with Port Talbot. He was ever-present for Aber in the League in the 2015/16 campaign, making 32 appearances and scoring once against his former side Port Talbot Town in just his third game for the Seasiders.

He had re-joined Port Talbot Town in January 2013 after 18-months away from the club with Llanelli.

Surman had joined Llanelli from Port Talbot Town in June 2011 after seven seasons at the GenQuip Stadium. In his previous spell at Town, Surman became a leading figure in helping the club achieve European qualification and finish runner-up in the Welsh Cup. He is widely regarded as one of the league's finest defenders and brings with him a wealth of experience and leadership skills.

A former Swansea City apprentice centre-back who was released from the Vetch Field in February 2005. He is a Wales Under-23 and full semi-professional international, who skippered the Welsh team on several occasions.
