Ricky Sees Red as Rhyl sink Bala

Rhyl extended their lead at the top with a comfortable win at Maes Tegid on Friday evening in front of over 800 people. Former Chester City teenager Paul Smith scored the opener on 26 minutes and left-back Phil Doran doubled the advantage five minutes before the break.

Skipper George Horan and Lee Hunt gave the leaders a comfortable win, with a goal each in the space of three minutes. Defender Horan made it 3-0 on 69' and striker Hunt struck on 71 minutes. Bala's night got worse when former Rhyl midfielder Ricky Evans was sent off for the home side by referee Brian James for two cautions.
