FORMER Newtown striker Craig Moses scored the Principality Welsh Premier's first hat-trick of the campaign, as he laid the foundation for a much-needed first win for Andy Legg's side.
It fires the Reds up to seventh spot, but next week's visit to in-form Bangor City will be the acid test of whether a recovery is in full swing. Legg and Chris Venables started following periods of suspension and Venables' influence in midfield assisted the free-flowing passing game that Legg has demanded.
It took Moses just 16 minutes to hit the target after good work by Jason Bowen and former Lincoln City wide player Owain Warlow. Rhys Griffiths bagged the second four minutes later following Rhys Batley's surging run and Moses made it 3-0, 10 minutes into the second period.
Moses completed his trio in the 58th minute, Warlow again the provider and Warlow himself completed the rout 15 minutes from time with a brilliant effort after receiving Griffiths' throw.
