Wingmakers up to Eighth with Deeside Triumph

It was a real match of two halves in the Flintshire derby as Airbus UK Broughton defeated GAP Connah's Quay 3-2 at the Deeside Stadium.

The Wingmakers flew into a 3-0 Half-Time advantage, and although the Nomads scored twice in the second-period, Craig Harrison's visitors managed to put their Welsh Cup exit disappointment behind them to hold on for the three points.

Veteran defender Mark Allen opened the scoring on 21 minutes and Gareth Sudlow scored a second for the visitors on 25 minutes. Talented midfielder Ashley Williams made it 3-0 on 38 minutes to stun the Nomads going into the break.

Ronnie Morgan then scored with eight minutes to go and when Nomads' skipper Liam Loughlin grabbed a second just four minutes later, it gave Harrison a nervous finale, but his side held on for the win and they now move up to eighth in the Table.
