Saints and Reds draw a Blank at Park Hall

So much was expected as two of the best footballing sides in the League met at Park Hall, but honours were even as 'keepers Paul Harrison and Ashley Morris both kept clean sheets at Park Hall. The Reds hadn't been involved in a 0-0 draw all season, but without leading marksman Rhys Griffiths (hamstring injury) and a re-assured back-four directed by the vocal Morris, it wasn't at all surprising.

The main talking points of the game were the sending offs - with Chris Holloway given his marching orders for two bookable offences and TNS's Alex Darlington, for a stamp on Reds' 'keeper Ashley Morris. Saints coach Gordan Evans was also sent from the touchline for pushing Antonio Corbisiero.

Steve Evans was back in the Saints Number Five shirt and the Wales International helped Andy Cale's side keep their clean sheet against the Champions. Brian Flynn was in attendance, but Peter Nicholas left Wales Under 21 Call-Up Jordan Follows on the bench, preferring Mark Jones in attack.
