Six of the Best for Saints

FORMER Welsh Premier champions The New Saints raced to top spot, a point above Rhyl, following a 6-0 demolition of hapless Caernarfon Town at Park Hall.

The visitors have now lost all five league matches, while Saints have yet to have their defence breached in 450 minutes of football. It took Andy Cales' side 41 minutes to break the deadlock - a 20-yard Scott Ruscoe free-kick - and TNS added another five in a frantic 31-minute spell. Alfie Carter fired in the second, Michael Wilde grabbed a brace before Ruscoe ghosted through to score and Barry Hogan ended the humiliation with a stunningly powerful finish after a clever One-Two.
